Ja Rule opens House of Skye® runway show with a live performance at official after party for the 26th Annual InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball
GALACTICA-THEMED HOUSE OF SKYE® FASHION SHOW AT INTERCONTINENTAL® MIAMI MAKE-A-WISH® NIGHTCLUB WOWS WITH FUTURISTIC CAPSULE COLLECTION
House of Skye®, the iconic fashion brand by designer Skye Yayoi Drynan, presented a “Galactica”-themed capsule collection of 42 futuristic looks at the InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Nightclub on Saturday, November 6. The nightclub event is the official after party of the InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball, the annual fundraiser that is considered the official start of Miami charity season. This year’s Ball raised funds in excess of $2.7 million for Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida, which grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

After an opening performance by Ja Rule, the high-energy fashion show presented custom, one-of-a-kind designs worn by both genders. Looks included a leopard men’s suit that featured a peaked lapel and a nipped waist and an out-of-this-world black leather mini dress with exaggerated shoulders, representative of the Galactica-themed capsule collection; an Italian-sourced oversized silver brocade cape that caught the wind while moving down the runway, giving a grand, luxe affect; and a chiaroscuro gown made of intertwined stripes of red, mauve, black, gold, and silver-painted silk tulle with pearl stitching.
