In recent years, more and more women are starting businesses of their own — many of those being in fashion..

According to findings from the Small Business Trends Report by Guidant Financial, 32 percent of small business owners are women, a 13 percent increase from last year's 27 percent. With women-owned businesses on the rise, Skye Drynan is paving the way for women across multiple industries.

After a stint on Wall Street in the beginning of her professional career, Drynan noticed a gap in women's fashion for clothing that is also technologically advanced. Using her knowledge of biotechnology, Drynan formulated many patents in order to launch her namesake fashion house, House of Skye, which consists of two different lines. Dulce Bestia is high-end, ready-to-wear clothing and Bareback Intimates offers lingerie and loungewear that has every woman in mind with its high-tech designs. Thanks to Drynan's logical mindset from her time in finance, coupled with an artistic vision and creative outlook, House of Skye brings all of the best possible innovations together.

Since the company's inception, it has been worn by a range of notable personalities — from Lady Gaga to Gwen Stefani to Carrie Underwood, they all seem to love the pieces. Bareback Intimates has been featured in a variety of fashion press, including L'Officiel Magazine, V Magazine, Daily Front Row and more.

Drynan is now preparing to launch her third line, Snow Beast, which is set to debut at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Snow Beast is dedicated to Drynan's upbringing in the stunning, snow-covered mountains of northern Montana. This new clothing line will have sporty takes on fashion-forward clothing.
